An international banking institution with a strong presence across the EMEA region is currently seeking an experienced Compliance Manager m/f/d to join its Core Compliance team in Frankfurt. This role plays a critical part in shaping the conduct and compliance risk agenda of the bank and acts as a key interface between the business and regulatory requirements.

Your tasks

• Serve as a trusted advisor for compliance matters across key product areas (including capital markets, corporate banking, and securitisation).

• Ensure alignment with the bank’s compliance risk appetite and conduct expectations by advising business units on regulatory requirements and market standards.

• Support the design and enhancement of compliance risk assessment frameworks, policies, and methodologies.

• Monitor and report on compliance initiatives and project milestones, escalating critical developments as needed.

• Participate in cross-regional compliance projects and initiatives, representing the compliance function with subject-matter expertise.

• Contribute to strategic compliance efforts across the broader EMEA organisation, fostering collaboration with affiliated entities and supporting local governance structures.

Your profile

• Strong track record in Compliance Advisory within the banking or capital markets environment.

• In-depth knowledge of EU/German regulatory frameworks applicable to the banking industry.

• Experience in advising on regulatory compliance matters and managing regulatory change implementation.

• Solid project management skills, with the ability to track progress, manage deliverables, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior management as a credible sparring partner.

• Fluent in German and English.
