A highly respected financial institution is seeking an experienced Head of AFC Compliance to lead Anti-Financial Crime efforts across Wealth Management as well as Corporate Banking.

This leadership position offers a high degree of autonomy, strategic influence, and the opportunity to build and shape a high-performing AFC team.

As part of the Group Compliance function, you will be responsible for setting the tone for a strong financial crime compliance culture. You will define and enhance policies, controls, and training initiatives to ensure effective risk management and full regulatory alignment within the bank’s diverse business segments.

Your tasks

• Oversee the implementation of AML and AFC controls in Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Corporate Banking

• Develop, maintain, and monitor internal policies and procedures to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and other criminal activities

• Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements across business lines

• Design and deliver AFC training concepts for employees, ensuring ongoing awareness and knowledge

• Identify and drive team development needs including targeted training and talent growth strategies

Your profile

• Proven leadership experience within AFC or Compliance, managing teams of specialists

• Academic background in law, economics, business, or finance

• Solid professional experience in a financial institution or consultancy with exposure to investment banking, asset management, and/or corporate banking

• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to assert ideas with credibility

• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
