We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trade Surveillance Officer (on Associate Level) to join our client's team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the operations comply with all relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.

Your tasks

  • Conduct real-time and retrospective trade surveillance to detect and investigate potentially suspicious or manipulative trading activities.
  • Analyze and interpret trading data, order flow, and market trends to identify potential compliance issues and trading anomalies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including compliance, legal, and risk management, to address identified issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current on industry regulations and market developments to ensure the effectiveness of surveillance procedures and tools.
  • Generate and maintain reports on surveillance activities for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of surveillance systems and processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports for regulatory inquiries and examinations.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in business law, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • first years of experience in trade surveillance, compliance, or a related field within the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and trading strategies.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as MiFID II and other global market regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for trade surveillance.
  • Fluent German and English
