For one of our international banking clients with a strong EMEA presence, we are currently seeking a Vice President – Compliance Advisory to join the Central Compliance function in Frankfurt.
This strategic position plays a key role in ensuring the firm’s compliance with regulatory obligations, particularly concerning the management of inside information, conflicts of interest, and the maintenance of information barriers. As part of the team, the successful candidate will serve as a trusted Compliance Advisor across EMEA product lines, with responsibility for regulatory interpretation, stakeholder advisory, and policy development.
Provide regulatory advice on Insider Information & Conduct Risk matters, including conflicts of interest, information handling, and insider trading prevention.
Act as a key advisor on EMEA-wide compliance topics, ensuring robust communication and alignment with regional teams.
Design and deliver internal training on Compliance and Conduct topics.
Monitor regulatory developments across the EU and Germany and translate them into actionable business advice.
Investigate and manage potential breaches and maintain relevant management information (MI) reporting.
Develop and maintain compliance policies in line with local regulatory expectations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and contribute to responses to internal/external audits and regulatory inquiries.
Lead and participate in global and local compliance projects, acting as subject matter expert.
Several years of experience in Compliance, ideally with a focus on Insider Information & Conduct Risk, Markets or Private Side Advisory functions.
In-depth knowledge of German and European financial regulation (e.g. MAR, KWG, WpHG).
Professional background from a financial institution, such as a securities firm, broker-dealer, or wholesale bank.
Experience working with systems like Bloomberg, Star Compliance, IntApp, Actiance, NICE, Verint, and managing information barrier frameworks.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Fluent in English; German skills are a strong advantage.
