Your tasks

• Serve as a trusted advisor on compliance and regulatory matters across the EMEA region

• Manage internal and group-wide compliance reporting processes and communication

• Design and deliver training on compliance and conduct topics to staff at all levels

• Draft, update, and maintain policies in line with German and EU regulations

• Support responses to regulatory examinations, audits, and internal investigations

• Monitor information barriers and insider-trading prevention procedures

• Review, investigate, and assess potential breaches, ensuring timely escalation and reporting

• Track German and EU regulatory developments and recommend appropriate implementation measures

• Contribute to cross-functional projects as the Control Room subject matter expert

• Collaborate closely with other offices across the European group to deliver consistent compliance support

Your profile

• Several years of experience in compliance within the financial services sector, ideally in wholesale banking, a broker-dealer, or a securities house

• Solid knowledge of German and EU financial regulatory frameworks

• Strong ability to interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements effectively

• Excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage)

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

• Adept at building strong relationships and advising stakeholders on compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and internal processes

• Proficiency in Control Room systems and Microsoft Office applications
