Description

We are seeking an experienced KYC Officer  to join an international banking institution in Frankfurt. In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of client due diligence and compliance within the bank’s onboarding and continuous review processes. You will play a key role in maintaining KYC quality, enhancing operational workflows, and supporting regulatory adherence across the organization.

Your tasks

• Conduct and oversee all KYC-related checks for new client onboarding.

• Perform ongoing due diligence and periodic KYC reviews to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

• Ensure consistent application of internal quality standards and compliance requirements.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of KYC and onboarding processes.

• Manage client lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining customer files in line with internal AML/KYC procedures.

• Collaborate closely with the 2nd Line of Defense and other control functions.

• Maintain and update client records using the in-house KYC tool.

• Participate in cross-functional compliance and process improvement projects.

Your profile

• Completed banking apprenticeship, university degree, or equivalent qualification.

• Several years of experience in client onboarding, KYC, or CDD within the financial sector.

• Proven knowledge of regulatory requirements and due diligence procedures.

• Certifications or further training in KYC, Due Diligence, or Compliance are a plus.

• Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in German and English (French advantageous).

• Structured, responsible, and proactive approach to work, with strong team orientation and adaptability.
