As part of the Risk Management function, you will support the identification, assessment and oversight of key risks across the institution. This includes maintaining the risk inventory, supporting implementation of regulatory requirements for payment institutions, contributing to risk reporting to senior management, and helping shape the organisation’s risk strategy and control framework.
Early identification and assessment of existing and emerging risks, including ESG-related risks
Support the ongoing implementation of regulatory risk management standards (e.g., ZAG MaRisk)
Contribute to the institution’s overall steering by balancing risk and profitability perspectives
Assist in preparing periodic risk reports for senior management and governance bodies
Develop and enhance internal control frameworks and governance processes
Maintain and update the risk inventory and derive mitigation measures
Conduct regular and ad-hoc stress tests and communicate recommended actions
Several years of experience in Risk Management or Finance within financial services
Strong ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical processes
Familiarity with supervisory frameworks for payment institutions (e.g., ZAG / ZIEV reporting) is advantageous
Comfortable working with legal texts and regulatory guidelines
Affinity for technology, data and systems
Strong communication skills and structured working style
Very good German and professional English skills
First leadership experience is a plus
