Our client is a leading international financial institution with a strong focus on innovation, digital transformation, and robust governance frameworks. Within a modern and globally connected technology environment, the firm is strengthening its IT Governance function and is seeking a motivated specialist to support the ongoing development and oversight of governance structures across IT.

This position sits at the intersection of technology, risk, and regulatory compliance, offering strong exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic initiatives.

Your tasks

• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
• Ensure alignment of IT processes with internal standards as well as regulatory requirements (e.g. MaRisk, DORA, EBA guidelines)
• Act as a key interface between IT, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders
• Monitor and assess governance controls, identifying gaps and driving remediation measures
• Contribute to IT-related risk assessments, control testing, and internal audits
• Support governance committees and prepare decision-relevant documentation and reporting
• Assist in the oversight of outsourcing arrangements and third-party risk within IT
• Drive process optimisation and support strategic IT transformation initiatives

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in IT Governance, IT Risk, IT Compliance, or Information Security within a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g. DORA, MaRisk, ISO 27001,)
• Experience working in financial services, banking, or a similarly regulated industry
• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in English and German
