Description

On behalf of an established international bank, we are currently searching for an experienced Senior Manager m/f/d Corporate Credit to join its Frankfurt-based corporate banking platform.

It is particularly suited to a senior credit professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with sound commercial judgement and is interested in taking on broader leadership responsibility in the future.

For the right candidate, the role offers a clear medium-term perspective to assume responsibility for the credit function and potentially lead the department.

Your tasks

  • Evaluate borrowers’ financial performance, business models, ownership structures, market environments and repayment capacity
  • Review financial statements, cash-flow forecasts, financial covenants, collateral structures and transaction documentation
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of existing credit exposures and identify potential risk indicators at an early stage
  • Perform annual and event-driven credit reviews in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assess new lending opportunities as well as amendments, extensions and restructurings of existing facilities
  • Work closely with front-office relationship managers while maintaining an independent and risk-focused credit perspective
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Operations and other relevant internal stakeholders
  • Support the continued enhancement of credit processes, internal policies, risk standards and reporting structures
  • Contribute to portfolio analysis, management reporting and regulatory-related credit activities
  • Act as a senior point of contact for complex credit matters and support the development of less experienced colleagues
  • Gradually take on additional managerial and strategic responsibilities with a view to potentially leading the credit department in the future

Your profile

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in corporate credit analysis, credit risk management, credit approval or corporate lending
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products and lending structures
  • Solid experience in analysing financial statements, cash flows and key credit risk indicators
  • Proven ability to assess complex corporate borrowers and structure well-founded credit recommendations
  • Experience with bilateral loans, syndicated facilities, acquisition finance, structured lending or project-related financing would be advantageous
  • Sound understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements and banking-related governance standards
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, accurate and highly structured working style
  • Confidence in communicating with senior stakeholders and presenting credit assessments to decision-making bodies
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity and professional judgement
  • Initial leadership, mentoring or project management experience would be beneficial
  • Fluent in German and English is essential;  other language skills are highly desirable

Your benefits

  • A senior and visible role within an established international banking environment
  • Broad exposure to corporate clients and complex financing transactions
  • Close cooperation with senior decision-makers and international stakeholders
