Our client is a leading international banking group with a strong presence across Europe. To further strengthen its regional Compliance function, the bank is seeking a Compliance Advisory & Information Governance Officer to support the management of information governance, market conduct controls, and regulatory compliance across its EMEA operations.

This position offers the opportunity to work within an international Compliance team, partnering with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions while contributing to a robust regulatory control framework. The successful candidate will play an important role in advisory activities, governance, reporting, and the continuous enhancement of Compliance processes and systems.

Your tasks

  • Advise internal stakeholders on information governance, market conduct controls, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Support the management of information barriers, insider information processes, restricted securities controls, and conflicts of interest.
  • Maintain governance processes, reporting frameworks, and Compliance documentation.
  • Assist with regulatory requests, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop and enhance management reporting, dashboards, and data analytics to improve transparency and oversight.
  • Contribute to process optimisation, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects within the Compliance function.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and business teams across Europe and international locations.
  • Support strategic Compliance initiatives and cross-functional regulatory projects.

Your profile

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional experience within Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal, Financial Crime, or another control function in a regulated financial institution.
  • Understanding of information governance, market conduct regulations, conflicts of interest, or related Compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience preparing management reporting, analysing data, and improving governance processes.
  • Confident working with Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar analytical platforms.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g. Power Apps or comparable technologies) is considered advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across international teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. German language skills are advantageous but not essential.
