Our client is an international corporate and investment bank with a strong presence in Europe.
The bank provides a full suite of corporate finance products, global capital markets solutions and advisory services to large corporates and financial institutions. It operates in a highly regulated environment and is committed to responsible, sustainable growth.

To further strengthen its control framework, the bank is looking to hire a Market Conduct Manager m/f/d for its Frankfurt office.

Your tasks

In this role you will sit at the centre of the bank’s market conduct framework.
You will support the design, operation and continuous improvement of controls around:

  • inside information
  • information barriers
  • conflicts of interest
  • related regulatory obligations
You will work closely with Compliance colleagues, business teams and other stakeholders to ensure that sensitive information is handled appropriately, conflicts are identified and managed, and that the bank’s market conduct framework is robust, data‑driven and well-governed.

This is an ideal position for candidates with a background in Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit or Markets Compliance Advisory who want to move deeper into Market Conduct topics.

Market Conduct

  • Manage and maintain insider lists, watch lists and restricted lists in line with applicable regulations.
  • Oversee and enhance information barrier frameworks, including wall crossings, chaperoning and associated approvals.
  • Support the identification, escalation and management of conflicts of interest across business lines.
  • Contribute to policies, procedures and guidance relating to inside information, market conduct and conflicts of interest.

Monitoring, Reporting & Governance

  • Produce and enhance regular management information and reporting for senior stakeholders (e.g. dashboards, KPIs, trend analysis).
  • Support governance fora related to Control Room / Market Conduct (committees, working groups, documentation and minutes).
  • Assist with regulatory examinations, internal audits and remediation activities impacting the Control Room / Market Conduct framework.
  • Help ensure alignment with German and European regulatory requirements relevant to wholesale banking and capital markets.

Data, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain structured datasets to support monitoring, reporting and audit trails.
  • Use tools such as Excel and Power BI to improve data quality, automate recurring tasks and visualise key metrics.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of workflow and automation solutions (e.g. low‑code tools) supporting Control Room processes.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of systems and data governance related to market conduct and control room activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a point of contact for business, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams on market conduct queries.
  • Build strong working relationships across front office and infrastructure functions to embed a strong culture of market integrity.
  • Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on relevant policies, procedures and regulatory expectations.

Your profile

Essential

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in Law, Business, Finance, Compliance or a related field.
  • Professional experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit, Legal, Financial Crime or another control function within a regulated financial institution.
  • Strong interest in market conduct, inside information controls, information barriers and conflicts of interest.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Comfortable working with data, including experience with Excel and ideally Power BI (or similar analytics / BI tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and build effective relationships.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred
  • Experience in a  Market Conduct, Markets Compliance Advisory, Surveillance or Regulatory Compliance function.
  • Familiarity with German and EU regulations relevant to wholesale banking and capital markets (e.g. MAR, conflicts of interest frameworks).
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections, internal audits or remediation projects.
  • Exposure to dashboard development, management reporting or the creation of structured datasets for Compliance.
  • Experience with workflow / automation tools (e.g. low‑code platforms).
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and controlled data environments.
  • German language skills and/or professional compliance or regulatory qualifications are an advantage.
