Description

On behalf of our client, an internationally oriented bank based in Frankfurt am Main, we are seeking an Enterprise Risk Manager (m/f/d). The bank serves corporate clients and financial institutions, with a focus on Corporate Banking and Trade Finance.

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk, you will work closely with Finance, Treasury, Compliance, IT and Information Security. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the bank’s risk management framework and assessing its key risks.

Your tasks

• Regularly review, maintain and enhance key risk management frameworks, including the Risk Inventory, Risk Strategy, ICAAP and Stress Testing.
• Perform monthly risk calculations and prepare reports covering Pillar 2 economic capital and stress testing.
• Apply economic capital methodologies across market, credit, credit spread, interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), foreign exchange, operational and business risks.
• Develop stress scenarios aligned with the bank’s risk taxonomy and overall risk profile.
• Conduct quarterly capital adequacy assessments and prepare risk reports for the Management Board and Risk Committee.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting, including IRRBB and risk-bearing capacity reporting (RTF).
• Support regular and ad hoc regulatory exercises, including LSI stress tests and recovery planning.

Your profile

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Several years of relevant experience within a regulated financial institution, an audit firm or a consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of German and European prudential regulation, particularly MaRisk and relevant EBA guidelines.
• Sound understanding of financial risks, supported by a solid foundation in statistics, econometrics and risk modelling.
• An independent, reliable and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative mindset, with a strong focus on results.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English Language skills
