We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to identify a Markets Compliance Officer to join a well-established and internationally connected compliance function.
This role sits close to the business and supports the integrity of market activities by maintaining effective monitoring processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory expectations, and contributing to a robust control environment.
Perform ongoing monitoring and review of business and transactional activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Analyze data, activity patterns, and behaviors to identify potential irregularities or conduct-related concerns
Support the development, calibration, and enhancement of monitoring and control frameworks
Liaise with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, and Front Office to provide guidance on market conduct and regulatory topics
Assist in the review and investigation of potential breaches or unusual activities, including documentation and escalation where required
Contribute to regulatory reporting and internal governance processes
Stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments (e.g. MAR, MiFID II) and assess their impact
Support ad-hoc projects related to monitoring methodologies, controls, and compliance initiatives
Degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field
Several years of experience within Compliance, Risk, or a related control function in a financial institution
Good understanding of capital markets and financial products
Exposure to data-driven compliance activities is advantageous
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
Ability to identify patterns and assess risks based on data
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English required; German is a plus
