On behalf of a leading private bank headquartered in Germany, we are seeking an experienced (Senior) Information Security Manager (m/f/d) to join the Information Security team in Hamburg.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the bank’s information security strategy, strengthen its governance framework, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards within a dynamic and international environment.
Act as the primary point of contact for all information security matters and advise the 1st Line of Defence on related risks and controls
Support and oversee major IT and infrastructure projects (e.g. network architecture enhancements, implementation of Instant Payments)
Identify and assess potential security risks and incidents, develop mitigation measures, and drive incident response processes
Further develop and continuously improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS), including policies, processes, and control measures
Translate external regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA, BAIT, KAIT, VAIT) into internal governance frameworks and operational standards
Contribute to the expansion and optimization of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system based on Splunk
Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification within the IT environment
Initial to several years of professional experience in Information Security, ideally within the banking or financial services sector
Sound knowledge of relevant security standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a structured and proactive approach to problem solving
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in both English and German
High motivation to learn and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies and regulatory topics
