At Hirschman Associates, we are partnering with a dynamic, internationally active financial institution specializing in tailored banking solutions for corporate and institutional clients. We are currently searching for a Compliance Officer gn to strengthen the Compliance team at the headquarters in Hamburg.
In this role, you will ensure the organization’s adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, with a particular focus on combating financial crime, sanctions, and fraud prevention. You will play an integral part in maintaining a robust compliance framework in a fast-paced, evolving banking environment.
Oversee and continuously develop the organization’s Compliance Management System (CMS)
Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and advise senior management on improvements
Ensure adherence to national and international regulatory requirements
Provide compliance training across departments and raise awareness of regulatory changes
Draft, review, and update internal guidelines and policies in line with legal requirements
Support internal and external audits, and prepare reports for management and regulators
Cooperate with relevant stakeholders, such as supervisory authorities and external partners
University degree in law, business, economics, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in Compliance, ideally in a banking or financial services environment
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including BaFin, AML/KYC, and MiFID II
Proactive mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly
Excellent communication skills in both German and English
Structured, solution-oriented working style and a high sense of responsibility
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
