On behalf of a well-established international financial institution, we are seeking an experienced Manager Risk Controlling (m/f/d) to join the Risk & Finance function in Hamburg.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a strategically important Risk Reporting team with significant visibility across the organisation. Working closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of modern risk management frameworks, regulatory initiatives, and data-driven decision-making processes.

Your tasks

• Take ownership of holistic risk reporting, including the identification, assessment, monitoring, and management of key risks within the bank’s risk management framework.
• Perform and further develop risk analyses, scenario assessments, and stress testing methodologies to support management decision-making.
• Contribute to strategic projects and transformation initiatives with a focus on risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, model validation, and reporting accuracy to enable effective risk oversight.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits as well as regulatory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including MaRisk, CRR, EBA guidelines, and BaFin expectations.
• Collaborate closely with business units and senior stakeholders on risk-related topics and reporting processes.
• Drive the continuous enhancement of reporting tools, methodologies, and risk management practices.

Your profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, (Business) Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in risk management within the financial services industry, ideally covering at least one major risk type and including exposure to ICAAP.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and supervisory requirements, including MaRisk, CRR/CRD, EBA guidelines, and BaFin regulations.
• Knowledge of banking accounting principles is considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present complex matters in a structured and business-oriented manner.
• Strong affinity for data, systems, and the further development of risk models and analytical tools.
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment.
