We are currently partnering with a leading international financial institution in the search for a Senior Compliance Controls Manager.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to join a highly regulated capital markets environment and play a key role in strengthening the firm's compliance control framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading risk-based compliance reviews, assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and supporting the continuous enhancement of the organisation's Compliance Monitoring Programme.

Your tasks

• Plan, execute and report on independent compliance monitoring reviews across regulatory compliance and financial crime topics.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential compliance risks and control weaknesses.
• Prepare clear, concise and well-documented review reports, findings and recommendations.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss review outcomes and agree appropriate remediation actions.
• Monitor and follow up on agreed action plans to ensure timely implementation.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Compliance Monitoring Programme and related governance framework.
• Prepare management information and reporting for senior management.
• Review the work of junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Support wider compliance initiatives, projects and regulatory developments.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in Compliance, Compliance Monitoring, Internal Audit, Risk or Financial Crime within an international financial institution.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and internal control environments.
• Experience within capital markets, investment banking or wholesale banking is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of financial crime compliance, conduct risk and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across international teams.
• Fluent English is essential; German is advantageous.
